A report with the key messages and points of discussion from the topics covered at the January 2023 IFASS (International Forum of Accounting Standard Setters) meeting has been issued.

On 12 January 2023, IFASS held a virtual meeting. The meeting was chaired by former EFRAG FR TEG Chair and EFRAG SR TEG Chair Chiara Del Prete. At the meeting, the following topics were presented and discussed by IFASS participants.
- IASB and ISSB updates (presentations by the IASB and ISSB)
- Connection between financial and sustainability reporting (presentations by UKEB and EFRAG)
- IAS 12 Temporary exception amendment (presentation by the IASB)
- IFRS 16 Research (presentation by ANC)
- Transition Relief and Ongoing Practical Expedients in IFRS 16 Leases (presentations by AASB and MASB)

The next two IFASS meetings will be held on:
- 19-21 April 2023 - in-person meeting hosted by the US FASB at its offices in Norwalk, USA
- 26-27 September 2023 - in London (hosted by the IFRS Foundation)
