29/11/2022 - EFRAG summary reports of the PFS roundtables with preparers held on 24 October, 2 and 4 November 2022
EFRAG has issued reports about feedback received from participants during the roundtables on the IASB’s tentative decisions to change the Exposure Draft General Presentation and Disclosures.
In the roundtables, which were undertaken jointly with the IASB and in collaboration with national standard setters on 24 October, 2 and 4 November 2022, preparers discussed potential implementation and application concerns, potential additional guidance on specific topics and the efforts required to implement and apply the IASB’s selected tentative decisions.
Jointly with the IASB and in collaboration with national standard setters, EFRAG conducted three roundtables on the IASB ‘s key tentative proposals to change the Exposure Draft ED/2019/7 General Presentation and Disclosures, involving preparers representing corporates, financial institutions and conglomerates.
EFRAG has issued the following reports:
- Summary report of the roundtable with corporate companies held on 24 October 2022;
- Summary report the roundtable with financial institutions and conglomerates held on 2 November 2022;
- Summary report of the roundtable with corporate companies held on 4 November 2022.
The purpose of the targeted outreach activities is to assess whether the selected tentative decisions made by the IASB will function as intended and achieve the intended balance of costs and benefits.
The participants discussed the application of the IASB’s selected tentative decisions providing their important input for EFRAG's contributions to the IASB's redelibarations on the project.
These summary reports have been prepared for the convenience of European constituents to summarise the event and will be further considered by the organisations involved in their respective due processes on the proposals.
