EFRAG is consulting on its Preparatory Document for Draft Endorsement Advice of
Covid-19-Related Rent Concessions beyond 30 June 2021 against the technical criteria in the EU and on its assessment of whether the Amendments are conducive to the European public good.

EFRAG has issued a Preparatory Document on its Draft Endorsement Advice letter and a separate invitation to comment relating to the endorsement for use in the EU of Covid-19-Related Rent Concessions beyond 30 June 2021 ('the Amendments').
The objective of the Amendments is to extend the scope of the 2020 amendment by increasing the period of eligibility to apply the practical expedient from 30 June 2021 to 30 June 2022.
The Amendments become effective for annual periods beginning on or after 1 April 2021, with earlier application being permitted.
EFRAG's overall preliminary assessment is that the Amendments satisfy the criteria for endorsement for use in the EU and therefore recommends its endorsement.
EFRAG is seeking comments on the analyses supporting its preliminary conclusions.
