Maria Dolores Urrea Sandoval

María D Urrea is Subdirector General for Accounting Standards in the Accounting and Auditing Institute (ICAC), the Spanish accounting standard setter, since February 2019, and is currently responsible for corporate information, both financial and sustainability.

She is a member of the Accounting Advisory Committee and the Sustainability Advisory Committee of the ICAC and Secretary of the Corporate Information Board of the ICAC.

She was a member of the EFRAG Financial Reporting Board from 2019 until May 2024.

María is a civil servant, belonging to the State Insurance Supervisory Body. She holds a degree in Economics and Business Administration (Universidad de Murcia), a Bachelor of Arts with honors in Business in Europe (Manchester Metropolitan University) and a degree in Law (Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia).
