Valeria Villacorta Cussianovich

Valeria joined EFRAG in August 2022 as Technical Manager for the Sustainability Reporting Team. Before that she worked for the oil and gas industry in Peru, coordinating legal and sustainability committees, and advising on public policies and regulations in social and environmental matters for the sector. Previously she worked in the International Labour Organization for the Andean Countries, in projects aiming to strengthen the labour administration and promote fundamental rights at work. She has also acted as assistant/associate teacher for classes related to freedom of work, fundamental rights at work, child labour and rights of children and adolescents.

She holds an Attorney at Law professional degree from the University of Lima, received with high honours after defending a thesis on the need for public policy mechanisms to provide remedy for victims of human trafficking and forced labour.
