Sandra Atler
Sandra Atler is an internationally recognized human rights lawyer and is the Director of the Human Rights and Business Practice Group, at Enact Sustainable Strategies, a consulting firm with representation in Sweden, Netherlands, Finland and China.
Sandra specializes in business and human rights, and has advised multinational companies on human rights for the past 12 years. Her expertise areas include children, women, migrants, protection of minorities, non-discrimination, diversity and just transition.
She has a LLM degree from Columbia University Law School. She supported the UN Special Representative on Business and Human Rights Harvard Professor John Ruggie and his team during the development of the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights. She was also closely involved in the drafting of ISO 26000 Guidance Standard on Social Responsibility.
Prior to advising companies on human rights, Sandra worked in civil society with human rights advocacy. She has worked extensively with human rights in all continents of the world, implemented human rights due diligence in various sectors, with particular experience from mining, oil and gas, energy and financial institutions. She is a well appreciated trainer and frequently conducts trainings with Boards, executive management, corporate staff at companies well as civil society and government agencies.
