Grégoire de Montchalin
Grégoire de Montchalin is Chief Accounting Officer for the AXA Group since 2019. He joined AXA in 1997 as an underwriter of large risks insurance, and then progressively specialized in Finance and Risk Management areas. He notably contributed to the first implementation of IFRS reporting in 2004, was in charge of the AXA Group’s embedded value reporting at the time of the 2008 crisis, and subsequently played a key role in its transition to Solvency 2. In his current position he oversees both Financial and the Sustainability reporting for the AXA Group. He is also chairing the Solvency 2 Committee at France Assureurs (French Federation of Insurers) and actively participates to different works at Insurance Europe and the CFO Forum. Grégoire was nominated a member of EFRAG’s Sustainability Reporting Board in 2022. He graduated from Ecole Polytechnique and Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris in France, and is a fellow member of the Institut des Actuaires Français.
