Pierre Phan van Phi
After 12 years as an auditor, Pierre has specialized in IFRS technical issues since 2002. He is currently the IFRS Leader for EY France and a member of the EY Global IFRS Committee, which is responsible for establishing EY's worldwide technical views on IFRS matters, writing EY's responses to proposed accounting changes by the International Accounting Standards Board (IASB), and updating or revising EY's Accounting Manual.
He is also a member of the EY Global Teams for Revenue, Employee benefits and Service concessions.
Pierre often designs and delivers IFRS training courses, both for internal and external audiences, and public conferences in France and abroad.
Outside EY, Pierre chairs the IFRS Accounting Committee for listed companies of the French Association of Statutory Auditors (Compagnie Nationale des Commissaires aux Comptes - CNCC) and teaches IFRS to students in their final year of Master in Accounting and Finance at HEC Grande Ecole.
He has co-authored 2 publications on the application of IFRS by large European listed groups (« IFRS: les pratiques des grands groupes européens ») in 2006 (éditions CPC, 465 pages) and 2008 (éditions CPC, 293 pages).
Pierre holds a Master in Management from HEC Grande Ecole, a French CPA and a Master in Corporate History from Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales (EHESS, Paris).
