Christoph Toepfer
Christoph is a policy and research officer at the German Environment Agency (UBA). In this capacity he actively engages on promoting corporate social responsibility, environmental management practices and corporate sustainability reporting. He initiated, supervised and successfully completed several projects in these fields and is advisor for the German Government and European Commission. He contributed to the development and revision of international environmental management standards and the latest revision of the European EMAS-Regulation.
Christoph holds master degrees in Sustainable Development and Business Administration from the Universities of Leipzig and Graz and a Bachelor Degree in Business Science / Economics from the University of Leipzig. Before his work at the German Environment Agency he gained relevant business experience in the photovoltaic industry.
