Dawn Slevin
Dawn is Managing Director of ELS Europe and a member of the DG-FISMA Technical Expert Group (TEG) building Europe’s first Green Sustainable Finance Taxonomy. Dawn provides strategic advice and technical expertise on international environmental risk management and sustainable finance to Clients from the financial sector, industry sector, business & innovation platforms, as well as National and European regulatory and prudential authorities. Dawn works collaboratively with Fintech industry on data analytic solutions, delivers training to Clients and has lectured at University level.
Dawn’s extensive experience is drawn from her work as an environmental engineer across a range of industries from construction & real estate, brownfield development, water treatment & supply, waste management, manufacturing, renewable energy, petrochemical, oil & gas, and transport. Dawn was awarded ‘Sustainable Finance Person of the Year’ 2019 by Ireland’s national sustainable finance, business and innovation platform Sustainable Nation Ireland.
Dawn is a Chartered Environmentalist (CENV) and Chartered Waste Manager (MCIWM), holds an MSc. with Distinction, Environmental Engineering from Queen’s University Belfast (2002) and Honours Degree Environmental Science from Trinity College Dublin (1994),and is a member of associated professional institutions.
