Andreas Horn

​Andreas Horn is a corporate expert for climate-related topics in BASF, a global chemical company with headquarters in Ludwigshafen, Germany. His responsibilities include the tracking of climate change trends and evaluation of related risks and opportunities for BASF, advancing BASF’s climate protection activities, responding to external stakeholders requesting information on BASF’s activities in this area (e.g. CDP), and delivering climate-related information in BASF’s integrated annual report.

He represented BASF in different climate-related working groups and projects of a range of organizations over the past years (e.g. ICCA, IEA, WBCSD). Currently, he is a member of the Expert Group on Sustainable Finance of the European Round Table of Industrialists (ERT), the Project Group Environment and Climate of the Forum for Sustainable Development of German Business (econsense), and the Technical Expert Group of the Science-based Targets initiative. He studied Geoecology at the University of Braunschweig and holds a PhD in agricultural sciences from the University of Giessen.
